WUSS 2026 Scholarships

The annual WUSS Educational Forum and Conference brings together hundreds of SAS® users from across the WUSS region and beyond for education, training, networking, and professional development opportunities. To support and encourage the next generation of SAS professionals and educators, the WUSS Executive Committee is pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships for full-time students, early-career SAS professionals, and high school/university faculty to attend WUSS 2026 (September 1-3 at the Hyatt Regency Burlingame).

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS

Each scholarship recipient will receive:

  • Reduced conference registration rate of $50
  • Complimentary half day pre- or post-conference training class
  • Recognition of scholarship recipients during the Opening Session
  • Access to Conference Mentor
  • For Students: reduced hotel rate of $75 per night for up to three nights

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program during the 2026–2027 academic year (including Summer 2026). Proof of enrollment is required.
  • OR
  • Be employed using SAS for three years or less (cumulative) as of the start of the conference. Proof of employment is required.
  • OR
  • Be an instructor at the high school or higher education level. Proof of employment is required.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Volunteer approximately four hours during the conference. For example, serve as a coordinator for a presentation session or pre/post training class.
  • Scholarship recipients may receive the award for a maximum of two years. To be eligible for a second-year scholarship, recipients must submit an abstract to present at WUSS. For advice on potential presentation topics, contact mentoring@wuss.org.

Note: Priority will be given to applicants who attend a college/university, reside or work within the WUSS Region. For 2026 we will also extend priority to applicants from the South Central Region because there is no SCSUG conference this year.
