OVERVIEW
Below is the essential information to guide you as you create your proposal and prepare your papers and presentations. You will also find detailed guidelines, templates, and other helpful resources on our Presenter Resources page.
Your proposal will need to include a title of no more than 25 words and a summary abstract of no more than 300 words. You will also be asked to provide the name of each author along with each author’s affiliation (such as company or university), email address, and a short biography of no more than 50 words. Biographies should be written in third person.
Your proposal must include a working draft or outline. This will give the section chair a better idea of the content, style, and quality of your paper or presentation.
The proposal must be submitted by June 15th, 2026. For scheduling reasons it's recommended that no one author be the primary presenter on more than three submissions.
There are several ways to present: lecture-style talks, demos, and hands-on workshops. There will be several concurrent presentation sections at the conference. A list of planned conference sections and descriptions can be viewed here. When you submit your proposal, you'll be able to indicate your first-choice and second-choice academic section and format. This information will help our reviewers decide which section would be appropriate. If we are in doubt as to the best choice, we will talk to you!
Proposals may be submitted either as Paper submission or Paperless submissions. To make a paper submission the authors must commit to submitting a paper to be published in the conference proceedings. In lieu of submitting a paper, presenters may make a paperless submission. In that case presenters are expected to submit their slides to be included in the conference proceedings instead.
Proposals may be submitted either as Paper submission or Paperless submissions. Submitted papers will be published as part of the official Conference Proceedings at the WUSS website. Authors or paperless presenters will be expected to submit their presentation slides to be published in the proceedings in lieu of a paper. PRESENTER OBLIGATIONS
Authors are required to follow guidelines and deadlines as described in the Submission Guidelines on our Presenter Resources page. If any of these guidelines or deadlines are not met, WUSS reserves the right to remove the abstract and presentation from the conference schedule and exclude the paper from the conference proceedings.
Here are four of the most notable requirements:
- Submit the Copyright Grant Form signed by all authors on or before July 20th, 2026.
- Submit a final paper (or slides for paperless submission) in PDF format consistent with the WUSS Submission Guidelines by August 10th, 2026.
- Register for the conference on or before the early registration deadline of August 3rd, 2026. Registration will open June 15th. Paper presenters will enjoy an additional 25% discount off the early registration price. Presenters who do not submit a paper will get a 15% discount.
- Be available to present your paper at any point during the conference from 1:00pm Tuesday (September 1st, 2026) through noon on Thursday (September 3rd, 2026). Due to the complexity of the scheduling process, we may be unable to accommodate special requests. Make your travel plans accordingly.
