WUSS 2022 COVID-19 Policy

The health and safety of our attendees is one of our top priorities. The Western Users of SAS Software is dedicated to helping reduce the spread of COVID-19. Please do not attend the event if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, have recently tested positive for COVID-19, or have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19.

We expect all attendees to adhere to all event policies, health and safety requirements, and posted instructions while attending the event.

Attendees are required to present proof of either full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID test within 48 hours of entry to attend the WUSS 2022 Conference and Educational Forum and all related events. Full vaccination is valid two weeks after the last recorded dose (single dose for Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) vaccine or two doses of Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty or Moderna vaccine). This means that if you are not vaccinated at this time, it may take up to six weeks to be considered fully vaccinated; please plan accordingly. Boosters are strongly recommended but not required at this time.

Attendees may submit proof of vaccination at the event by showing a valid CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card. Originals, copies, or photographs on a mobile device are acceptable. For faster check-in, attendees may also submit documentation prior to the event through the registration system.

We strongly recommend that all attendees take a COVID-19 test within 48 hours of coming to the event. If you test positive for COVID, do not attend WUSS 2022. Instead, contact the WUSS Registrar at registrar@wuss.org to discuss possible refund options.

Please note that all COVID safety requirements may change prior to the event. Please check here often and before traveling to WUSS 2022. In addition to vaccination, we anticipate our event policies may include the following requirements (and are subject to change as the event draws near):

  • Masks required for all attendees and guests in the event venues, regardless of vaccination status (N95 or similar strongly recommended)
  • Number of attendees may be limited in certain areas or breakout rooms

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. Attendees should evaluate their risk in determining whether to attend the event. By attending the Western Users of SAS Software Conference and Educational Forum, you assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

Failure to adhere to these requirements may result in removal from the event and/or venue. Attendees who are removed from the event and/or venue for failure to adhere to event policies will not be eligible to receive a refund.

Note: As part of the registration process for the WUSS 2022 conference in Burlingame, CA, you will be asked to agree to the WUSS 2022 COVID-19 Waiver.
