Presentations in WUSS 2026 are organized into sections based on topic area or presentation format. As a presenter, you may choose to submit an abstract to a particular section based on the topic you wish to cover or you may choose a format that matches your preferred teaching style. As an attendee, sections are a tool to find the types of content you are most interested in while you are at the conference. Whether you are a seasoned expert or brand new to SAS, working in industry, business, or academia, there’s something for everyone at WUSS 2026!

Hands-on Workshops give attendees the chance to learn by doing as instructors guide them through a series of interactive exercises. Topics in this section are presented as “live coding” exercises in which attendees can modify and execute code to learn by doing. HOW instructors should plan to provide exercises and/or activities for attendees to work with on their own device.
Workshops can be presented in either a 50-minute or 80-minute format.
Speakers in the Demo Theater will share practical solutions and insights into real-world data challenges using technologies such as SAS, Python, R, SQL, and more! Presentations may include a combination of slides and live demonstrations to showcase applications, techniques, and workflows. This section includes SAS Super Demos in which SAS staff demonstrate novel SAS products, topics, and techniques.
Demos can be presented in 10-minute, 20-minute, or 50-minute formats.
The AI, Analytics, and Statistics section highlights new and emerging approaches to artificial intelligence (AI), statistical modeling, and data analysis across industries. We're seeking presentations that demonstrate how programming languages such as SAS, Python, R, and other platforms are used to drive analytics — including predictive modeling, data mining, and modern statistical methods. Submissions showcasing innovative techniques, reproducible workflows, and real-world applications are especially encouraged. If you're using software or code to push the boundaries of what's possible in data analytics, this is your stage.
Presentations in AI, Analytics & Statistics can be given in 20-minute talk, 50-minute talk, or 50-minute panel discussion formats.
The Careers and Professional Development section includes pressing issues facing programmers, data analysts, statisticians, data scientists, consultants, contractors, managers, and executives across organizations. Presentations cover aspects of career development such as work-life balance, industry trends, communication skills, mentorship, consulting, networking techniques, global team management, and other relevant subjects that impact organizations in the 21st-century economy.

Data Basics & Beyond covers the broad spectrum of data management, transformation, and reporting techniques from introductory to advanced for data at any scale. Presentations showcase SAS programming techniques and other tools used to handle fundamental data analysis tasks such as import/export, data manipulation, data cleaning, exploratory data analysis, visualization, and effective data storytelling.

This section explores powerful open source software, tools, and libraries on their own or integrated with SAS and other technologies. Topics include popular open source programming languages such as Python and R, open source databases, and other open platforms and tools built on open source technologies. Learn about best practices and strategies for incorporating open source solutions into your work.
Presentations in Open Source & Emerging Technologies can be given in 20-minute talk, 50-minute talk, or 50-minute panel discussion formats.
The Pharma and Healthcare section focuses on the application of software and solutions in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Attendees learn the latest best practices for analyzing clinical trial data, developing predictive models for patient outcomes, and improving healthcare operations. Popular topics include statistical programming techniques, clinical trial design, drug safety monitoring, real-world evidence analysis, epidemiology, health analytics, and automation.
Presentations in Pharma & Healthcare can be given in 20-minute talk, 50-minute talk, or 50-minute panel discussion formats.
Solutions Development focuses on the development of tools, utilities, platforms, and methods that enable data management and analysis for individuals and organizations. This includes topics at all levels of the data analysis technology stack, from infrastructure, system utilities, and administration to data integration, reporting, and visualization. Developers, users, and administrators working in any programming language or tool are encouraged to share their experience and wisdom in this section.
Presentations in Solutions Development can be given as a 20-minute or 50-minute talk, or as a 50-minute panel discussion.
