For many years WUSS has been giving something back to the community in which our conference is held. This year we are supporting GiGi’s Playhouse, a non-profit organization with a Sacramento location that offers free educational, therapeutic-based, and career development programs for individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and the community, through a replicable playhouse model.
GiGi’s Playhouse offers FREE educational, therapeutic, and career building programs to individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and the community. Their hope is be a safe place where all are welcome, from pre-natal diagnosis to adults! GiGi’s Playhouse goal is to empower individuals with Down syndrome and their families to reach their highest potential. Their research-based curricula work towards advancing literacy, math skills, gross and fine motor skills, improving low muscle tone, building self-esteem, preparing for the workforce, and more, while fostering acceptance, awareness and networking resources for parents, siblings and the community – all FREE of charge.
Your donation to GiGi’s Playhouse helps to provide FREE, life-changing therapeutic, educational, and career training programs to individuals with Down syndrome of all ages from all over the Greater Sacramento area – and beyond – every day.
